We are delighted to welcome Surrey Art School for a creative and mindful afternoon workshop.

'Mindfulness is about slowing down, being fully present in the moment, and receiving that moment. The exact same words apply to the process of making photographs. For me, to photograph is to be fully present in the moment. Because when I photograph nothing else enters my mind.'

Photography is a gentle and accessible way to engage with the natural landscape and sculptural works on display at Hannah Peschar Sculpture Garden. Join Surrey Art School founder Ellie Green for a guided walk around the garden where she'll share her methods for slowing down and engaging in mindful observation of your surroundings. Lean into the art of photography as a moving meditation and learn some technical tricks to improve your digital photography skills. 

At the end of the walk we'll gather for tea, locally roasted coffee & homemade cake, and a chance to review some of the shots we took on our walk together.

Included is extra time to explore the Sculpture Garden further - perhaps employing some of the lessons gleaned earlier in the day, or just taking time to relax and unwind in the serene setting.

Please note: the Sculpture Garden is a natural woodland setting, with uneven ground in places.
