Set in ten acres of secluded Surrey countryside, The Hannah Peschar Sculpture Garden is an art gallery unlike any other. See contemporary art set amongst lush vegetation, tall trees and architectural plants - with the soundtrack of gently running water and birdsong. It welcomes school visits from mid-April to late October, showcasing around 200 sculptures in various styles and materials.
The Garden supports various curriculum subjects, including Fine Art, Photography, Design and Technology, Art & Design, History of Art, and Environmental Studies.
Groups of up to 30 pupils with appropriate adult supervision must book in advance for visits on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm. Smaller groups (under 10) can book to visit on Thursdays and Fridays, with standard admission prices applying.
Costs are:
£8 per schoolchild (under 16)
£9 per student
£9.60 per teacher or accompanying adult
Prices include VAT.
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at booking. There are no refreshment facilities, so bring a picnic, and adhere to our Litter & Recycling Policy. A recce visit is recommended and free if arranged before a confirmed school visit.
Schools and educational groups must ensure a suitable adult-to-pupil ratio (1:8 minimum) and supervise students to avoid damage and accidents - school will be held responsible for any damage caused. The Garden's drive and surrounding lanes are not suitable for coaches; use cars or minibuses. There is ample parking, and if you must come by coach, relevant information regarding parking can be found here.
Please wear sensible shoes or wellington boots, as the Garden can be muddy.
Group visits must be paid before or on the day of the visit, when numbers are confirmed.
